Live performance on April 11, 2015 at the Encinitas Public Library with Yochanan Sebastian Winston, Mark Danisovsky and Joe McNalley
This is a piece that I wrote with Carl Hammond a few years ago on a grant from the Jacobs’ Family Foundation for the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit that came to San Diego. The piece is a cry for peace, that “might break out across Israel just as the winds of the chamsin (their version of our Santa Ana winds) blows through every camp, regardless of religion, race or creed.” I hope you enjoy it. This is three excerpts. It’s available for download on Bandcamp.com as well as via CD Baby and CD Now. Thanks for listening. And as Scott Veltman used to say, “Don’t forget to inflate your shoes!”

Original music incorporating the esthetics of jazz, traditional Jewish music, The Mahavishnu Orchestra and of course, The Experienced One – Jimi
This year (2015), I played an engagement party in Del Mar for Valentine’s Day. So romantic! I’ll most likely be playing their Jewish wedding in June, either with my chamber music quartet “Sebastian With Strings” or solo with “SoloYo.” I used to get down playing lots of weddings, much preferring concerts, recording sessions, corporate entertainment and doing instrumental synagogue services, but now I really enjoy them. I think it’s because I’ve gotten more mature and can see the time coming when my own children will be standing under a chuppah. Anyway, mazel tov to the beautiful couple and happy families!
