Enjoy!
This performance of the traditional Kol Nidre prayer Avinu Malkeinu was taken from our Sept. 22, 2015 “Alternative Kol Nidre Service” at Congregation Beth El in La Jolla, CA. The setting is traditional but the arrangement is anything but traditional. I’m playing the bass flute, the ensemble includes violin, cello, contrabass and keyboards and the vocals are lead by Roberta Winston. I have been honored to be the Musical Director for this service since its inception eight years ago by now, most of the music that we do is my own work. Hope you enjoy this performance. I’m writing grants right now to try and get a commercial recording of this music released on CD. Wish me luck! If there are any angels out there who would like to step up with some funding, please reach out to me.
